Geof’s support helped the Trust pull together a cohesive business case for the redevelopment of our adult ED that had buy in from the clinical, financial and operational elements of the business. The case has been shared internally and across the Local Health Economy. Without the input of Geof, the Trust would not have been able to produce the quality of document in the timescales required.
The Full Business Case for the North Wales Adolescent Service was undertaken by Geof Beesley and was delivered on time and within budget. The subsequent prompt approval by the Welsh Assembly Government indicated that the case fully met all aspects of the five case model. Geof Beesley provided the Trust with a professional delivery of the business case and his knowledge and understanding of the five case model was invaluable in delivering the case within a very tight timescale.

The Team
The Jago team consists of senior experienced personnel who are able to work independently or as part of a wider team, but always as an integral part of the client’s project team.
Geof Beesley founded Jago Health in 2008 after a career with major scale consultancy organisations. Geof is a Chartered Architectural Technologist and certified 5 Case Business Case Practitioner. A specialist in health planning, project leadership and the development of estate strategies and detailed design brief development enabling fully integrated design solutions to be developed. Geof’s role also encompasses management of the project and delivery process through to operational commissioning and post-project evaluation.
Combining a military, project management and architectural background, Geof has been involved in a wide range of estates planning and delivery projects from strategic development, including estate strategies and 5 Case Model (HMT Green Book) business cases to the delivery of detailed design solutions.
A strong advocate of partnership and collaboration, Geof has been involved with major planning procurement programmes across the UK, including the Welsh and Scottish Government frameworks, establishing strong relationships with clients and supply chains across the procurement field.
Jago does not employ consultancy staff, instead we operate on an associate consultant basis meaning we use only the best consultants: those best suited to each client’s unique needs. By using this associate model we ensure we remain highly competitive whilst similarly ensuring we use the most appropriate team to meet our client’s needs. Importantly, we only work with associates who have reached a senior level within their chosen profession and who have extensive industry experience within UK health and social care. All of our associates also have extensive management consulting experience. Our key partners include; architects, FM consultants, data modellers, equipping and room data sheet equipment loading specialists.

My own experience of working with Geof Beesley was extremely positive and I had many comments from staff saying how productive the development process was and that they felt that someone had listened to their views and requirements from the outset. I particularly liked Geof’s approach, which was to issue briefing documentation in advance and to ensure that everyone knew what was expected of them.
I found Geof’s forensic knowledge of the requirements of our hospital helpful; the way that he interpreted our various department’s strategies by analysing how we can maximise efficiency and effectiveness and demonstrating that an agreed number of surgical and other services would require a given set of beds.
